Urgent Care in Lenoir

“I don't live in Lenoir, but was there visiting family. I became suddenly very ill with abdominal pain and fever. I went to the FastMed Urgent Care as a walk-in and was seen quickly. The doctor was quick to assess my problem and call in a prescription. I started the medication and was able to get back home and get to my local ER as the doctor at FastMed had advised me to do if my symptoms persisted. The ER admitted me to the hospital and tests revealed a severe kidney infection (pyelonephritis). They kept me for treatment while we waited for culture results. After two days of treatment I was discharged because due to an error the culture that was ordered in the ER had been cancelled. Thankfully, FastMed had also done a culture and that ended up being a lifesaver for me because thanks to that I knew which antibiotic was appropriate for my infection. They were fast, courteous and competent...which is more than I can say about my local ER.“
