“Our visit to Mint Hill Eye Care was by far the best experience I have ever had with an eye doctor. Everyone was super friendly and professional. My exam was quick and thorough. I was thrilled to find out I could pay a little extra to have a picture of my eyes taken instead of getting them dilated. Dr. Aynsley Girardeau was wonderful. She put any nerves at ease, answered my questions, and explained everything in a kind and caring way. We were surprised when there was absolutely no pressure to purchase our eye glasses from them. We typically get frames at Costco when they have a sale as our vision insurance isn’t the best. Mint Hill Eye gave us copies of our prescriptions and told us to come back if we didn’t find anything we liked at Costco. I would highly recommend them!“

“Dr. House is not only super qualified, but gives excellent advice on various ways to Hydra your eyes at home. I have been Dealing with super dry eyes for the last five years. With a help of medication, fish oil pills, changing mascara & eyeshadow, no sleeping with the ceiling fan on at night, and sleeping on a silky pillowcase; I have seen a Drastic improvement! Dr. House Recommended all these changes to my sleeping environment. She also talked to me about the lack of estrogen since I’m going through menopause, because this can also cause your eyes to be very dry. Her guidance over the last five years has made all the difference in my life, and in my eye quality of care. You are blessed to have her as a doctor at this facility. “Dr. Matthews is by far, the best optometrist that I have ever been to. I was diagnosed with strabismus over 10 years ago and it is very very difficult to find a doctor who can provide an accurate eye glass prescription, with prisms, that can correct the double vision. Most do not know how or want to take the time to work with a patient to get the prism part accurate. It is very obvious that Dr. Matthews and his assistant (and wife) Theresa, LOVE what what they do. Dr. M takes the extra time and care necessary to make sure the prescription is accurate and the extra time to explain all the results of the tests that he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially those needing prisms in their lenses. I rarely give anyone a 5 star rating, but he just set the gold standard in my book and if I could, I would give him a higher than 5 stars. Thank you Dr. Matthews and Theresa!“
