I live in DC and have been around the block with colorists. A chance encounter with Matthew while visiting my sister in Apex last year has me hooked. His talent is unmatched and as someone who will drive 5 hours to have him do my hair, I can say with conviction that he is the BEST at what he does! I love that he’s no pressure/no judgement and if you’re someone who can’t get your hair done every 6-8 weeks, he’ll give you exactly what you need to last and grow out naturally. His demeanor as well as his studio is very relaxed and comfortable. If you’re reading this review because you’re searching for an amazing stylist/colorist, do yourself a solid and book him!

“Oh my goodness!! I CANNOT say enough about the kind, caring, professional staff at Merle Norman. My 10 year old daughter just got her ears pierced there and it was a wonderful experience! She was anxious about having it done, after her ears previously got infected from having it done somewhere else.
