Hello everyone.....I went to Risk Optimetric this morning for my annual eye exam...using my Aetna Advantage Insurance..... I have a ZERO ("0") Co PAY for a Simple Routine Examination..... I was originally going to us my VSP Insurance with a $10 Co Pay when I made my appointment...because I didn't have my Aetna Ins Card on me..... I said I would bring the Aetna Card with me at the appointment time because I believe I have a Zero ("0")CoPay..... "OK don't forget to bring it with you" . . . "I won't forget"....... My experience at Risk Optometric has left me with profound disappointment and frustration. I brought my daughter to Risk Optometric for an eye exam, an experience that left a lasting negative impression.During the examination, the doctor barely spent 10 minutes flipping back and forth between different options. At the conclusion of the exam, instead of providing my daughter with a prescription, the doctor accused her of faking the vision test. This is the poorest examination experience I’ve ever had. The personnel seemed untrained and generally incompetent. I’ve been buying glasses yearly for the past 40 years, and I’ve never seen anything like this. To add injury to insult, they seem to practice a type of up charge system wherein a insurance policy with a zero co-pay for examinations, cost you a $100.00. I shall never return to this business, and will loudly warn anyone who may be considering it.
