“I found this business via a Google search, and after reading the reviews, made an appointment with Dee.

My hair has been a mess for the last two years, transitioning from a short cut to longer hair. Healthy, but very unruly with sections that are flat, barely wavy, and others often frizzy and knotted.

Reading about natural hair, products and processes for care routines and styling, and watching countless videos left me overwhelmed and hopeless. Arriving for the new client curl session, I was filled with anticipation and curiosity, not knowing what to expected for my specific locks.

From beginning to end, I learned, watched, and absorbed as much as I could and enjoyed every second of my time with Dee. After a chat, she cut my hair (dry, not wet, which was shocking and a first for me), detoxed, shampooed, conditioned, applied styling product, dried, and then styled my hair. Dee explained what she was doing, the products and tools being used, and showed me how much product to use while talking me through the application technique. The hands on demonstration and presentation was easy to understand and remember.

At the end of our session, I purchased the needed products, and Dee walked me through my refresh steps, including recommendations for how to maximize hair health and curl while sleeping.

I could not be more thrilled! This was by far the best hair session I’ve ever experienced, and Dee is phenomenal! She is knowledgeable, gentle, informative, and talented. Have no doubts or worries - this salon and team are top notch!

“In search of a Deva Curl hair cut for curly girls, I found this salon, and Bonnie Romero, last year and called for an appointment. She's so popular that I had to wait several months for my initial appointment. My hair had become quite long and thick. But, if you have curls, you know the struggle to find a stylist who can do the cut correctly, and advise you on maintaining and styling.I finally had my appointment this week. Bonnie asked if I had a specific look/length in mind. I showed her a few pictures of the general look I wanted. In less than 30 minutes, she'd done the cut, exactly what I'd hoped for, and gave me a quick lesson in style and go for non-wash days. This is priceless for a curly girl.Another plus-Bonnie's salon is within Sola Salons, which is all small, single operator beauty spaces. So it's just stylist and client, which is important in the new world of remaining healthy with COVID. Bonnie takes cleanliness, and sanitary practices very seriously. Her salon is also beautifully decorated, comfortable and relaxing. It's pampering as well, to be the only client in such a lovely little shop. I'm a very happy client.“

Naomi kindly explained to me that I would need to do a different style and showed me some options. I scheduled this appointment over the phone less than 24 hours before the appointment, and I did not have to wait at all to get my hair started at my assigned time. It's always nerve-wracking booking a new hair stylist for bright blonde highlights (I just recently moved to Greensboro) and researched relentlessly where to go before booking at Local Honey. Torrie is very professional, she doesn't talk too much but isn't quiet either, she has a great, friendly personality.
