As a tax professional in practice for almost 20 years, the most recent tax seasons have seen tax laws evolve and change significantly, requiring us to spend a significant amount of time in continuing education so that we could adequately serve our clients. In addition to the 40 hours of continuing education required each year by the NC State Board for public practice CPAs, a decision was made to invest in a Master's degree in Taxation two years ago. This educational pursuit has helped add skills to increase knowledge in tax laws that will help our clients dealing with challenging and complex tax matters.
