“Best vet I've ever had. My 10 year old dog, Ziggy, had a bacterial infection on his leg for 5 months. He saw 3 other vets and was given tons of antibiotics and other meds to treat it (of course with side effects). I spent thousands on this issue with the other vets. In exasperation I drove from Asheville to Hendersonville to Dr. Howland. Dr. Howland asked if he could look at the bacteria under the microscope so we could treat the exact kind (what??why didn't the others do that?). He gave Ziggy a cream to treat it and it was gone in 2 weeks. The bill was $170. I literally was jaw dropped in the difference in care, price and customer service (the gals at the front desk are awesome too). Most vets have been bought out by private equity and run from corporate now - ie, have to give an expensive, elaborate "treatment plan" and charge at least $500 per visit but White Oak is a gem that still runs by knowledgeable skilled doctors and excellent staff.“

He listens to what the owners say and does everything he can to make sure everyone is happy… including the animals. He’s made the worst experiences not so bad. As well as the vet technicians who are with him, they are always knowledgeable and friendly. They definitely make it a priority to keep our equine pals in tip top shape! Really can’t say enough good stuff about Ted and his team!“
