Manewaves isn't my typical favorite type of salon - they don't serve wine as you wait or offer various spa services. However, they do exude an irresistible sort of southern charm - kind of like Truvey's from Steel Magnolias. I never would've found this place if I hadn't been desperate to secure an appointment with Ramsey (who was my stylist for YEARS before I moved to Wilmington). I've never been so distraught about leaving behind a stylist before. I bounced from salon to salon in Wilmington before finding someone who was suitable, but it still wasn't the same. I was thrilled when I moved back to Fayetteville and Ramsey could do my hair again. She is ah-maze-balls! She's never given me a bad cut or color - and she's always reasonably priced. My appointment was right on time and I loved how laid back the salon is - my kids made themselves right at home. I would definitely suggest Manewaves to those looking for a reasonably priced style in a laidback atmosphere.
