My husband was set up with an appointment with Dr desai nitri by Cape fear hospital after being diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer so that he could get a referral to pain management. The Dr came into room never acknowledged him or even examined him. Flat out refused to give my husband a referral to pain management because "he (the Dr)was never informed of my husband's release from hospital (he never once saw him in the hospital)
Then proceeded to bill me 275 for visit. I will be going there today to talk to business manager and if this bill is not resolved I will be filing a formal complaint with the NC medical board. Please stay far away from this... read full review

I’ve called several times over five times trying to reach your office staff and no one ever calls you back I could be dying and never one calls you back you have to go to the hospital just to get seen because the people at this office won’t respond

Specifically scheduled the appointment because I was in need of an oncology referral due to cancer symptoms. The staff and doctor knew the reason for the appointment, and before scheduling the appointment told me that it would not be a problem to facilitate a referral to oncology. The doctor dismissed my concerns and refused the referral to oncology. The staff violated HIPAA law by disclosing my health information without a signed consent for release form. I reported this provider to BCBS and the medical board. It's absolutely disgusting that this clinic is still open and that this doctor is still credentialed. Absolutely disgusting
