The four stars are for Amedisys in the Knoxville, TN area. I used Amedisys in Oak Ridge and Knoxville, TN area off and on almost 15 years, and my parents used them as well. When we found out we were moving to Fayetteville, NC I looked for Amedisys here. The Amedisys Social Worker in TN spoke with the Amedisys Social Worker here in July several times to make the transition easier. Amedisys in Fayetteville called me once before we left TN at end of July 2022, and again the first week of August after we arrived to hopefully start services in the next few weeks. I had one tele-appointment with a NP and a PA (tested positive for. COVID) and both reassured me that Amedisys would begin home health in 1-2 weeks. It's December and we are still waiting. We called a few times in August but they stopped taking our calls. If we left messages, our calls were not returned. I called a few private companies but they want clients who pay for their services, not Medicare. They wanted a minimum of $1000/month, which I cannot do. I am 69 with mobility issues. I don't need someone to sit with me all day. I need 2-3 baths per week, sheets changed and hair washed once a week, floors swept twice a week, and mopped once a week. I'd like to have an RN with psychology training every week to start then every 2 weeks, one with psychiatric training if possible. I need PT and OT twice a week if possible. If Amedisys cannot provide these services please let me or my daughter know. If you can refer us to another provider, please contact me or my daughter.
