Long story short--I had been going regularly to a salon in SC, getting extensions and highlights. Little did I know how bad things really were with my hair, until one day it all fell apart...literally! Thank goodness I found Kelly! I messaged her and got a consultation right away. At my first appointment, Kelly took the time to educate me about my color and extensions...and why I was having problems with my previous extensions. She showed me all the damage that had been done, and educated me on what we needed to do to fix the situation. New extensions, and an amazing color correction later, I've never felt better about my hair. She is kind, honest, professional, and keeps things real. “I’VE BEEN AWOKEN!!! ? Seriously though, I went to Awaken Hair Design and got my hair cut today. Idk about you but I always get REALLY nervous when going to get my hair cut.. Just because I don’t know the person cutting it.. They don’t really know me and how I wear it.. Most times I feel rushed at a salon?.. BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE AT ALL HERE!!! I had my hair cut by the INCREDIBLE KAT!!! I seriously cannot sing her praises high enough. She was so patient with me and actually listened to what I wanted. We discussed my trouble areas (I have dandruff and have started to lose my hair and it’s noticeable. I’m rather embarrassed by it.) but she made me feel SO COMFORTABLE, SO at HOME and SO WELCOME there. She listened to my concerns and actually worked with me to create the best outcome! I’m so happy with her work that I will not be going anywhere else. Thank you so much again for your attention to detail, your professionalism and conversation! “Yesterday was my first time going to Designer's. I saw Wendy Clayton for my hair appointment. I have followed her from place to place for 1-1/2 years cause she knows her stuff. 1-1/2 years ago she was at Bliss Salon. Last year she had her own salon, Pin Curls. Now she's at Designer's. Before the very first appointment she asked what I wanted. After I told her she asked me to send her pictures. I must have sent her 20! And she gave me exactly what I asked for!! My hair is really fine and does NOT hold a perm well. She gives me a double perm and trims my split ends for $65 (plus tip). I will NEVER let anyone else touch my hair!! She is awesome!! Not only is she awesome with hair but she's a really nice person too. ..... The salon seems to be frequented more by the elderly (I'm 38) than anyone else but the staff all seemed friendly.“
