If you live in the west side of the county, I highly recommend Movement4Life for Physical Therapy. They are extremely knowledgeable and have been very helpful to me with my shoulder issues. My PT person there is Sarah.

So when I was 10 years old, I had a horse fall on top of me. It broke my femur bone and placed me in a body cast for 6 months. Eventually, things healed and all seemed well; oh how I miss the days of being young and able to bounce back from all most anything. Then I turned 25 and started a family. 8 months into my pregnancy, the pain started. First in my mid spine, then it slowly crept its way through my upper spine and into my neck. Today, I suffer from arthritis, mild scoliosis, nerve damage and bulging discs; Extreme daily pain that has only been kept at bay with medication.Roughly three years ago, I started seeing a physical therapy place down the road (refer to my review of PT Solutions) in Candler, and the experience was a nightmare. I was scheduled for twice a week, for a 45 minute to an hour appointment (never any consistency). I rarely saw the same therapist, so there was often a lot of note reading during my appointments with a lot of repeat questions and answers. I saw my "therapist" for maybe a total of 10 minutes during the entire appointment. The appointment rarely started on time. They would talk to me a few minutes (this is where the repeat q&a came in) before giving me an exercise that didn't even target my pain. Then another exercise. Then another. The place was a wide open space with the therapist seeing me along with like 4 other patients at the same time. I never once left feeling like I got the therapy that I needed or paid for; I always left wondering why the hell I was wasting my time with them. Then one afternoon, I had to stop by the Candler post office to mail a package, and I saw this physical therapy place next door. I figured I'd give them a call because, let's face it, nothing could be worse than my current therapy center. And am I ever so glad that I did.I've been going to Movement For Life (formally called Specialized Physical Therapy) for the last year and a half. Jim is WONDERFUL! From my first visit to this current day, they have ALWAYS given me the time, support and attention that I've needed for progress. Not one single appointment, have I been ignored so that another client could be attended to. They've made me feel like a person that actually mattered, and not just a number. They've given me tools and techniques to use at home for pain management. My neck has increased in strength due to these tools. While I haven't found complete relief from pain, I am definitely getting closer, and fully believe that Jim can get me to a manageable pain level. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and attentive.I did take an extended break from therapy when COVID hit hard, but I found myself seriously regretting that cautionary choice. Not only did that break set me back in my progress, but after seeing the precautions they take to maintain a clean environment, staying away was entirely unnecessary. Yes, you are required to wear a mask for the entirety of your appointment, which I thoroughly appreciate. They clean and sanitize everything between clients. Only the client is allowed in the building, and they don't overbook or overcrowd the facility. I feel 100% clean and safe during the entirety of my appointment. I will definitely be returning to Jim for as long as I need physical therapy, and I heavily recommend this place to anyone looking.
