I have been going to this hair salon for over three years. My hairs stylist is Alison. She is absolutely wonderful. I have never had an issue with appointments, never cancels and I never have to wait for her to finish with a different client. She is punctual. She is talented. She has an eye for color and cut. I have an insane amount of hair and it's not easy to cut it since it's not curly nor straight. I have a funky wave to it. Grows very fast. I have been going to Allison every 4 weeks. Her pricing is par with her work, and I love how honest she has been with the pricing but also with what my hair needs.

Made an appointment with Mr Imari for my husband and 4 year old son. Right away, the vibe is welcoming, with a nod to classic barbershops, and everything is immaculate. Their appointments started right on time, their cuts are the.best.ever and less expensive than the other old school barber shops we’ve tried downtown. Massive appreciation shout out because Mr Imari could not have been more gentle or patient with our son, or the out of town grandparents who were having the time of their lives, or the teenage sister who had comments to share about how her brother’s hair should be cut. Come here, enjoy the love and attention to detail, support a local business, you won’t regret it.

Ali is an amazing guy. When I arrived to my appointment, he was preoccupied with a phone call for a bit, around 15 minutes. However, after he finished my cut, he completely refunded it for me and apologized for the inconvenience. I’ve never had a barber exhibit such courtesy and empathy—he did it without even letting me know. What a stand-up guy, I’d definitely recommend you give him a visit!
Great place to get a quality haircut. I go to Jason W. He is the best! Nick is a great barber too! Every barber there seems very skilled and I haven’t seen anyone leave dissatisfied. Kid friendly atmosphere and they have very diverse clientele. I would recommend booking an appointment but walk ins are welcome. If you’re from out of town or looking for a new barber for you or your kids, check them out!

I go here for all my services. I usually just do a simple gel manicure if I go and they always do a great job. Good pricing and great staff. Just make sure to call in before walking in. They can usually fit me in if I call, but I have seen them turn away people who walk in when they are busy and already have many appts set. Small staff so they can get full pretty fast.

I’ve been a client for five years and I’ve always had a great experience. I typically have a pedi and eyebrow wax and both are done expertly. The atmophere is laid back—you don’t feel like you have to dress up for your appointment. It’s super clean and the staff is welcoming. This is the only local nail salon I go to.
I followed Ferial from another salon and she is the only lady I go to! I can be very particular and always want to try different designs. Ferial's work is impeccable, I can honestly say that in the 7 months of liquid gel fills I have had done by her I HAVE ONLY BROKEN ONE NAIL (and I work with my hands). Not sure where to start. I haven't visited a hair salon in over 15+years, because I normally do my own thing with my hair, not having much confidence in anyone. However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill. What an awesome hair stylist with a great personality. To crown it off she did a lot of teaching, educating me on my hair type and the products that would work best. I received so many compliments on my hair cut from family members, friends and strangers alike. I am so excited, experimenting with different styles and just loving it all the way. Even though this was my first tattoo, I have been into multiple tattoo shops (for piercings, which they do not do, which is perfectly fine), and this was the BEST environment I have ever been in. I usually find tattoo shops can be abrasive and kind of scary (I am a newbie so this is probably just me), but Kings Ave was the opposite. Knowing it was my first, they offered me coffee, water, and multiple breaks. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Logan, my artist, did a CLEAN job. I have gotten SO many compliments on my tattoo from random people and friends, and I have only had it for three days. There were other artists there also, and they were great too. Tattoo Asylum is a great shop in an easy to access location. Their communication is clear and prompt. The shop is extremely clean and has a calming vibe. All of the employees are very friendly and accommodating! I felt very at ease. Mike and Cheree go the extra mile to make sure you love your tattoo. My tattoo was very sentimental and it was important to me that it turned out just right! They were very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure that my experience working with them was positive. I was given ample opportunity to ask questions and was given detailed responses. They made sure that it was a smooth process from inquiry, to planning, to scheduling, to completion and finally, aftercare! They were fairly priced and I felt completely at ease with the professionalism and care I received!

Mavis & Lucas at the front desk are super awesome and informative. There’s a good vibe there, like everyone seems to work well together and support one another. This review is specifically for Alessandra, who did wedding band tattoos for me and my fiance, semi-matching tattoos for us, and my fiance's latest tattoo. She's incredible. I have a previous tattoo from someone else, and Alessandra made me feel more comfortable and confident than I knew was possible based on my prior experience. I knew the text I wanted, but she found the perfect font for the look I had in mind and truly embraced the vision of my wedding band. She's also just a kind, funny, welcoming person and a true pleasure to spend time with. While both of my tattoos were on bony locations and so not the most comfortable to have done, the time was enjoyable because we got to chat with her through it. We'll return to her again and again.
We did a lot of research before getting these tattoos because we knew we wanted fine lines and that not every tattoo artist does them. Alessandra came as a recommendation from a close friend, and I'm so glad we asked because it worked out perfectly.
The studio itself was wonderful to be in because it was airy and sunny and spotless. Overall, a great experience from start to finish at a studio and with an artist we recommend to anyone we know who's looking to get a new tattoo done.

Floyd was professional, extremely knowledgeable about refrigerators, pleasant and polite. He quickly determined that our coils had frozen due to a clogged drain. He made the necessary repairs and also replaced (for free!) a small, unrelated tube that looked a little frayed. Floyd stayed to confirm that the problem had been fixed. T&C responded promptly to a pressing need to repair our failing refrigerator. On Thursday Terry diagnosed the problem; on Friday the office staff ordered the part; and on Sunday they called to schedule the service on Monday. Mr. Stewart, the company's president stepped out of his office as I was awaiting someone to speak with about a part for my new oven no tech was able to locate. Frustrated and w/o an oven for 7 weeks, I asked if he might have ideas, even though I never bought anything from this store. This friendly man expressed concern, and went out of his way to track down a supplier with his national connections. I had the part in a week. Next time I shop for an appliance, this is where I will do business. This was just an act of goodwill, for which he had no reason to go out of his way.

Such a great experience with A-1 Lock & Safe! The ignition lock cylinder on my 2010 Honda Fit was broken and my regular mechanic didn't have the tools to fix it. The dealership quoted me $1500 to replace the part, but Matt at A-1 was able to rebuild the ignition switch in under 2 hours for $275. So grateful that I found them!

We found Roxana and her Picazo cleaning team after noticing them regularly at a neighbor’s home. He heartily endorsed them and so we gave them a call. Initially was impressed with range of services offered including possible add-ons for things like cleaning the fridge or stove. I’ve never been known for my domestic inclinations, but once I was juggling a demanding job and a rambunctious young kid, well, the cleaning situation was getting pretty desperate. The cleaners are reliable and trustworthy, both efficient and detailed, communication is prompt, and their initial deep cleaning was so thorough it actually brought tears to my eyes when I returned home. I use Ana's Cleaning for cleaning when my renters leave. They have always been on time and done exactly what I asked. I appreciate their extra attention to bathrooms. I have found the front-office staff extremely responsive to my questions and to adapting to schedules that sometimes have to be changed. Although many of their workers speak limited English, their is almost always one on each team with whom I can communicate in English. If not, I use Google Translate. This is the only reason that I offer four stars instead of five.

Our experience with CQC has been very positive. There are always issues that arise with a large renovation but our PM Justin ensured that every issue was addressed. Danny and his framing crew were incredibly efficient, as were German and his army of roofers. Mario’s crew of painters put excellent finishing touches to Jenna and Gustavo’s design. Cqc could definitely use a few more folks in the field supervising their work but on the whole they were a pleasure to work with.
Brad and Crawlspace Doctor were excellent. Competent, professional, courteous, and clean. It was clear at the outset that Brad had years of experience and was shooting straight - I loved that. I had already gotten several bids but went with Crawlspace Doctor with confidence - and they did a terrific job. (It didn't hurt that their pricing was great, too!). When a seam separated a few years later they came and took care of it without issue - they stand behind their work! I recommend them with no reservations.

The owner of the house we purchased a couple of years ago, had abandoned the yard for years. We contacted a couple of companies for bids. Our requirements were that the plantings be deer and drought resistant since we aren't here in the summer and that we have a minimal amount of grass that wouldn't need watering. We liked Paul right away because he listened to what we had to say. At the same time he didn't do anything we asked for. Later on, I suggested a design element and he politely told me it wasn't a good design and he'd come up with an alternative. I liked that. One of our requirements was that he put in smaller plants or plants that spread to keep to our budget. and he did this.Our property is on a hill and we have a lot of serious drainage problems. Paul's design dealt with the problems and directed the run-off to the woods. His installer was also extremely knowledgable and had worked with Paul for many years. During the installation, he was friendly and went to great effort to find blue stone for the small patio that matched the stone in the 40 year-old path to the front door. The stonework for the small patio and a couple of retaining walls is fabulous. We watched and it was done with great care. We've hired Leisure Landscapes to do our ongoing yard maintenance. We couldn't be happier with the results. He accommodated the playground that my husband had built, and created a design that is welcoming and fits with the house. I'd recommend the company highly.

We were very pleased with Martinez Brothers. They cleared out the majority of the plants in the saw front yard of a house we had just purchased, replaced the dirt with topsoil and added a sprinkler system and a wrap-around walkway.. This summer, our flowers were spectacular thanks to their work. The staff works hard, cleans up at the end of the day and is respectful.

These folks did just the most outstanding job helping me get a handle on my huge overgrown front yard. Trimmed shrubs, took out dead shrubs, installed a truckload of mulch, weeded, edged...just an amazing job. Hiring them again when I need more help! Prices were more than reasonable, too.
We've been using LBC for three years and love the convenience of the annual plan. It takes the worry out of mowing, seeding, weeding, and leaf blowing throughout the year. I had them plant 3 trees in my front yard. They were able to pick up and deliver the trees and did a great job placing them and getting them installed. They made sure to call 811 and get all the utilities marked and did an excellent cleanup afterwards.
For years Nazo has been our resource for mulch, gravel, compost and such. With a natural fence and privacy screen project in mind, Philip Nazo assisted. The first step was sending him photos of the area with a site visit as a next step. I then got to see the landscaping material recommended on a driving Gator tour. Nazo’s stock of mature trees and shrubs is especially impressive.
Once a landscaping plan was sorted, within a short time the installation took place. Philip overdelivered on the customer service and the trees and shrubs are mature, full and healthy. Aside from a little worry that they’ll outgrow their space, Philip assures us that given the light exposure, the natural fence will fill in nicely serving as a sound, site and light barrier.
Philip Nazo is passionate about plants. On both of his visits to our place, he commented on our mature plantings. He even discovered a fungus suffering redbud tree which is a concern for the native plant industry. He took a sample branch which may be helpful to the horticulture scientists researching a remedy.
Philip is the leader of their family business so be warned that he will upsell you at every turn! ; ) While the extra push for a few more trees and shrubs is difficult for an avid gardener to resist, when you’re working to stay on budget, Philip respects your decisions.

To say Laura took impeccable care of me doesn't quite say enough, she and her team at Sunrise were kind, expedited my crown, and did amazing work. She also was insistent that I not take a crown that wasn't perfect and that I wasn't 100% satisfied with. I left today with a crown that looks great and can't recommend Dr. Azzu highly enough, she's great!

My first experience with Debora Bolton was around 14 years ago prior to Bull City Smiles. Even then she was the best. I moved away from Durham and had a new dentist. I recently was told that I needed to replace my existing front teeth. For those who have not heard this before it is very traumatic and hard to wrap your head around. I did a Google search and saw Bull City Smiles and Debora's name. I sent her an email which she quickly responded to, and I set up an appointment to get an evaluation. When I walked into the front door I was greeted with kindness and smiles from all. Her office space was extremely welcoming and comfortable. Debora gave me good sound advice with all of my options and assured me that they would help me through this process. I can't thank them enough. After my procedure and getting upper dentures, they have been absolutely wonderful. I will continue going to Bull City Smiles the long ride is well worth it. Debora after all of these years has continued to keep her patients at her utmost priority. I give 10 stars to this business and staff for going well beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Best dentist I've ever been to. Okay, maybe the only dentist I've ever been to, it's been roughly 20 years of service for me here... But I also had braces and orthodontics experiences elsewhere, and they don't compare to the skill and gentle hands of everyone in staff here, including Dr. Jerry himself. I've had a few minor fillings over the years, and I'm shockingly pain-free almost every single visit. Thanks again guys!

After 30 years in the professional medical world I thought I could effectively pick a practitioner to help recover from a particular ailment I was having. Each one helped about 5%. Then some friends told me about Jason so I thought I'd see why they were so high on him. After my first visit I was 80% better. He has been very helpful with resolving several issues I've had over the years and is the best I've ever experienced at proper diagnosis of underlying issues and prescribing the proper exercises to get rid of pain and restore full range of motion. Every friend I've referred feels the same way. He is the best in the area for sure.
My chihuahua Boots, 14yrs old suffers from IVDD.. he has been coming to Dr. Valentina for around 3 months or so and I must say she is amazing at what she does! His hind legs were uneven and now back more even and aligned. Also his back had started having a hunch, but now back straight! Thankyou so much, Boots is much happier now. Very grateful. Highly recommend her for chiropractic needs.

I’m not going to lie, reading reviews on Google where they referred to the chiropractors as “Dr. ‘first name’” gave me pause, but Dr. Rob has saved my achy body on more than one occasion while listening, demonstrating, maneuvering, and following up with the care of a great physician. Sadly, I’ll be moving, but he has already voluntarily provided me with recommendations on other practices where I’ll be living. Which just proves it’s more care for the patient than care for the business, and that’s who I would trust having my back.
Dr Ju has a big sign on his office wall that says: “I AM HEALING.” I had a herniated disc that caused tremendous low back pain and nerve pain down my leg, and over the last couple months I’ve spent a lot of time in Dr Ju’s office reading those words and feeling hopeful instead of depressed and afraid. Dr Ju truly believes in the body’s ability to heal, and when you’re in pain you really need someone to remind you that you can and will get better. Dr Ju is knowledgeable, empathetic, and very patient. He is a skilled practitioner who is always educating himself and sharing his knowledge and experience with his patients. I’ve learned a lot from him — and most importantly, my pain is nearly gone. In early June, I had to have someone else drive me to the office and I used a walker to get from the car into Dr Ju’s office. Two months later in early August, I was driving myself, walking in from the parking lot at a normal pace, and even taking the stairs instead of the elevator. “I am healing.” And I have Dr Ju to thank for that.
I always have a great experience and have recommended Dr Brown & his practice to family and friends many times over the last several years. They have likewise had great experiences. He truly cares about my health and the health of my family members that he’s treated. Dr. Brown is extremely knowledgeable about chiropractic, nutrition, and other systems of the body. He is thorough, ordering appropriate scans like X-rays when warranted, and helps me understand his diagnosis. I always leave feeling so much better and his treatments are long-lasting for me. Dr. Peterson is one of the very few chiropractors who has truly made my neck and trapezius area feel better. The bulk of The benefit comes from his dry needling skills, although the adjustments do a lot of good as well. For years, and while I've seen other providers that have helped, his adjustments stacked with dry needling have absolutely been the most beneficial out of anything I've tried.

Broadway Vet goes above & beyond. They do follow-up calls to ask how my dog is doing after appointments, they greet her warmly, and provide thorough care. She had some major anxiety about going to the vet at the beginning. Now, there is a remarkable difference, even if she doesn't love it. She's still in good spirits and enjoys the staff!

I want to say that after trying different groomers in the Triangle area, this place is by far, and I mean by far, the best out of all of them.Unfortunately, the closer one gets to the Raleigh area, the more they act like their *#*# doesn’t stink and they don’t give a damn if you patronize their business or not, and this behavior came from the owners of the establishments-not the workers !! Without dropping the name of a particular groomer in the Cary area, I literally got charged $1.00 a minute for being three minutes late. When I explained that I got stuck at the railroad crossing just a couple of blocks from their place, she told me rules are rules !! Stupidly, on my part, I still gave the groomer a hefty tip, but, I should’ve deducted the $3 from the tip and tell her to get it from her greedy boss. Her greed costs her my regular business, and that of my neighbor.Anyway, getting back to Elliot’s Pet Spa. They were so nice and friendly. They don’t waste time keeping ur animal caged up for a whole day. Our groomer, Jenna, is such a sweetheart. Our toy poodle literally jumped right into her arms. And, he came back looking and smelling like a million bucks. She pays specific attention to requests and details. The pricing is so fair-it’s a no brainer for us. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for anyone that is looking for great service and great pricing. We tried another groomer in that shop and she was also very good, kind, and courteous. But, for us, after so many of our friends told us about Jenna, she’s our girl (hands down)……. You won’t be disappointed in any way with this establishment. Don’t waste time with all of the other wannabes !!!! Elliot’s Pet Spa in Durham, on Giess Rd. (Very close to the 85)….. It’s so conveniently located, even coming from the Raleigh area, is not a problem.P.S. The only hiccup I can say is that they only accept cash payments. Not a big deal-either way you have to pay. For our wedding weekend, we hired Casey to instruct a private yoga class in the Duke Gardens for our friends and family who all traveled in from out of town. We had some who practice yoga daily and others who've only done yoga a handful of times. Casey put together a flow for us that was great for all levels and even adjusted her instruction as the class progressed and she got a feel for everyone's level of comfort. It was such a great experience, in a serene location. Casey did an amazing job and we would certainly be regulars at Blue Point Yoga if we lived closer!
I really enjoyed my first class! After years of hot bootcamp style yoga, it was a joy to be in a different, soothing, supportive and gentle environment. I loved the atmosphere and the genuine feeling of community. The studio feels like a boutique. It's pleasing to the eyes and the spirit. I'm new to the area and it's just what I'm looking for!

Alexander Pilates is truly life changing. Every single instructor is incredible. The attention to form, quality of coaching, and knowledge of each instructor is second to none… I have never felt so engaged or supported in a workout class! I’m in my early 30s and have always been very athletic, but I’ve had tons of orthopedic and mobility issues over the years. My core strength, posture, and overall appearance have improved dramatically since I started taking classes ~5 months ago. I’ve also noticed that all of my other workouts are easier, and I’m much less injury prone. It is the best workout class I’ve ever done, and I’ve tried them all, in Durham and many major cities. It is so, so worth the money and I am so glad we have Heather and her wonderful team in Durham!

Jessica, Faith and Theresa are knowledgeable, skilled massage therapists who've worked as MTs for almost 10 years. All three have have extensive anatomical knowledge. Faith and Jessica are also nurses. Jessica is even certified in medical massage. Theresa teaches at Carolina Massage Institute so she has countless hours of hands-on experience. Highly recommend all three! Full disclosure- I've never experienced Faith's massage, but I know one of her clients who is very pleased! One thing to note though: they book up in advance! It is difficult to book a session with them with only a few days notice. Book two weeks to a month in advance. It's worth the wait.

There's a free 30-minute consultation, in which he'll evaluate your needs and do a little hands-on work. He ended up referring me to a place that's more PT-based, but I so appreciated his time. Scheduling on the website is easy, and he allows cancellations through the same website/email system which is convenient. He is pretty busy, but by changing my selection to 30 minute massage I was able to find an opening that was only a few days out.
I have been working on muscular back pain for several years now, but there is one area where I keep getting painful knots even though I have good mobility/posture and good core strength. Kevin listened to me tell him all my symptoms and what I've already tried, and had tons of information and ideas to share with me. Didn't take him long to find the exact problem areas and do some good work on them.
One day later my back definitely feels different in a good way! Looking forward to seeing what kind of results I can get with a few more appointments.

I have used Upright Athlete both for physical therapy and for strengths training. I seriously broke my right ankle (pilon fracture) in April 2023, had surgery, was non-weight bearing in a wheelchair for three months. And I started physical therapy with Gabe Dimock in July 2023. He has been amazing -- thoughtful, supportive, kind, encouraging, and flexible and always took time to answer questions. Ten months later (!!) after physical therapy for twice a week, I finally graduated over to the other side of the gym and have been doing strengths training with Gabe since May 2024. Am very grateful to be back to walking, hiking and building back my strength and stamina and I am so glad I chose to work with Upright Athlete. Highly, highly recommend them!
Anastasia is awesome! Although I came in with Achilles tendinopathy at the Insertion, she has given me an entirely different perspective on my total body mobility and how my body is connected. She spends the time getting to know the subtleties of one's body, the pain points and listens to what you tell her. Listening, caring, exploring and finding the best course of treatment are her gifts. And, she is so personable that you feel like you have a friend. I found out about this place through physical therapy but then started to go to Ryan for personal training with my wife. I really enjoyed the program he designed for us, simple and very effective. Then I got pregnant, Ryan and his new colleague Amber modified my workouts through out the entire pregnancy. I felt amazing till the end, worked out on Friday and gave birth on Monday. Highly recommend working out during pregnancy, I felt strong during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Nothing prepares you for the amount of back strength needed for carrying a human inside and outside your body, I don’t know how people do it without having muscle strength. Thank you Ryan and Amber!

My experience with physical therapy has been very positive. All of the therapy has been helpful. Aquatic therapy has been productive and less painful. Have cancel some days because pain has hindered ability to prepare and get there. I learned new effective exercises in all PT visits. Therapists were knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and professional.
I credit Jon E for helping me through a difficult illness and coming out strong and healthy. I came out of the sessions energized and relaxed, with lasting benefit. He also does a great job with back pain and is a skilled and thoughtful acupuncturist.
Tara is so amazing I cant recommend her more!!! I came in with a ton of issues; plantar fasciitis, all over body inflammations, hashimoto's issues, hormone imbalance, stress and need for nervous system regulation. I felt like I was at the bottom with my heath and tried all doctors and supplements and everything in between. I walked into Taras office and had a bit of nerves and by the end of the appointment I felt hope. I have now been seeing her for moths and we have done acupuncture, cupping and guasha work. Every time I leave her office I feel better then when I walked in. This has been the ONLY thing to help and increase health and wellbeing. One time we did battlefield acupuncture protocol- I came in with a pain level of 10 and left with a 2. I was amazed and honestly so thankful for her knowledge, wisdom and medicine! This has been a life saver and I am getting back to enjoying life and feeling better. I still have some way to go but now that i am on a program with Tara it up hill from here!!!
