I've had to think about writing this review but I feel it's important that I do. I've had my hair done a few times by Jey but had not seen him in over 8 years. Recently, I sent him multiple pictures of the haircut I was seeking. They included having the hair cut short on the sides and kept longer from the front to the back. Like a feminine mohawk with curls from the front and going all the way down the back.He cut the back of my hair incredibly short (removing about 5 inches leaving about a centimeter of length) such that my hair did not remotely resemble the pictures I sent or what we discussed. He then charged me $160 (for a silk press plus cut). I had been painstakingly growing my hair using protective styles FOR YEARS! all for him to just chop off my hair completely ignoring my pictures or what I told him I wanted. Which was for me to keep the length. To make matters worse, I was getting my hair done to travel home for Christmas after 4 years of not seeing my family due to the quarantine and COVID. I will also admit that my appointment with Jey was at 5:30am on a rainy day and I was 15 mins late. He let me know he didn't appreciate my tardiness. And didn't start on my hair for another 20 minutes while he meticulously washed, brushed, and dried a wig for his sister-in-law (who wasn't there).This is just my experience. I'm sure he is very popular with others. But I will never be back or recommend him and I hate that I have to write a review like this but I wouldn't want this it happened to anyone else.

I love this place. Jey is the best. Very professional, detailed oriented, and passionate about his craft. Just know upon entering the shop your in for a good time. And by the time you leave you will feel so FREAKING FLAWLESS like Tina Knowles-Lawson birth you herself. My hair hasn't been this healthy and all natural in my entire LIFE!!!

I love Jey! I have been receiving excellent service at his salon for 2 years. He specializes in cut/color, and he will keep your hair extremely healthy! He is very punctual, and he is an all-round outstanding stylist! You will not be disappointed!
