Okra yoga is my favorite yoga studio in the Noda area of Charlotte so far and one of my favorites in the wider Charlotte metro. I am very grateful for the variety of classes they offer, especially the number of slower and unheated classes. Most of the classes emphasize the mental and spiritual benefits of yoga, not just the physical, which is one of the most important aspects of yoga, imo.I left off a single star simply because classes that are named exactly the same can be very different depending on the instructor teaching them. I looooove this yoga studio! It is such a welcoming space with a variety of classes, and so affordable. If you like more challenging flows, definitely try out Danielle and Natalie's classes, they are the best!

I love the variety of classes.Today I went specifically to check our Tai Dorn’s primal yoga class which combines elements of Tai Chi and Kung Fu, as well as somatic release through energy clearings and using our vocals with poses to gather, move, expel and create new energy.I had no idea our teacher today was a long term martial artist - she was always my favorite deep stretch teacher at Yoga One… many years ago, but apparently she’s been training both yoga and martial arts for many years.Her class was exactly what I was hoping to find.Martial Arts and Yoga are a beautiful combination and this is a really nice addition to my current practice.I could literally feel... read full review
