I'm unsure why there are any negative reviews for this company. Margaret, the owner, is accommodating and responsive. I've recently moved fro NYC to Charlotte and haven't driven in 13 years. I had my first refresher lesson today with Pete, and he helped to ease my nerves. He was patient and supportive but also full of information. I feel confident that I'll be comfortably behind the wheel in no time. Highly recommend Helms Driving School.

This is the worst experience I've ever had since I came to the US. They conned money out of me without delivering service as promised.

the school itself is terrible. please don't go there it is not worth it. the zoom classes were ok but they were often paused or interrupted and the teacher was on mute for as long as 20 minutes while the students just sat there. the owner was rude on the phone REPEATEDLY and the costumer service was overall terrible. the communication is so bad. for such a crazy amount of money this class sucked. they use the children's email addresses claiming that it makes them more responsible which leaves parents out of the loop. Vicky was absolutely terrible. she repeatedly yelled and yanked the steering wheel with no notice. she wouldn't say a single nice thing. melissa... read full review
