We wanted our son (4 yo) to be involved in a more structured and disciplined activity and, despite him struggling to participate in the beginning, Master Ki and Master Jo worked with him diligently and patiently class after class to help motivate and engage him to be involved and participate. Now, not only does he love going, but he’s also able to participate and listen throughout the whole class. He’s demonstrated significant growth over a period of just a month. We couldn’t be happier with how’s it’s gone.
My son has been learning Taekwondo at this location for a little over two years now. He had been struggling a bit recently and we were even considering leaving, but then Masters Jo and Ki took over at the beginning of the year and things have really turned around. Before, it only seemed like my son got attention when he did something wrong or was goofing off. Now, I see him, and every other student, getting individual attention when they need it, as well as encouragement and praise. They are fair and empathetic with all their students and they are excellent in their communication with parents. My son’s ‘interest’ has now turned into a ‘passion’ and love of Martial Arts! Master Jo is AMAZING with the kids. He allows for a fun instructional class while maintaining structure and respect. The Chapel Hill staff is informative, very supportive and welcoming. It feels like family…it’s a village.
