I went for years feeling like something wasn't right and well-meaning medical professionals would say, "Oh, it's just hormones/stress" and no one could point me in a direction that seemed to address the fatigue and weird symptoms I was having. A dietician directed me to Addie Skow, who talked to me at length, ran ALL the tests, and I now have a clearer picture of what is happening, what caused it, and how to move forward. I'm paying out of pocket, which was terrifying, but whatever could be covered by insurance was submitted and the visits have been spaced out enough that I didn't feel completely underwater financially. Starting my journey to better health with Addie Skow leading the way has been amazing. She knows her stuff and can answer any question I throw at her. Honestly it’s hard to find any honest people in healthcare these days. This is my exact reasoning for saying it is worth paying out of pocket for honest answers, no gaslighting and gaining your health back with medical professionals that genuinely care. So, if you are questioning is it worth it???? Well, heck yeah!!! You are worth it!!! Addie is a true professional with a kind heart and a ton of knowledge and experience. My wife and I love Karen at this Integrative Medical Clinic of North Carolina. Karen really cares about her patients and it shows. She has helped us so much, and for me it's been one heck of a journey with gut issues....mold, parasites, candida/sibo and just recently Lyme. Thanks to Karen, we are making headway!! And a shout out to Demarcus at the front. A very nice, friendly and a personable guy!
