The absolute best experience with our dog. Hannah literally sang to our pup during X-rays to calm her down and not have to sedate her. Would recommend this place for any urgent vet needs!
I am very impressed of the Care that was presented to my kitty Luke last night. Such gentleness and kindness. We are blessed to have these folks in our surrounding area. God bless y'all many times over. You're the Best! 💖😽💖
We’re coming up on the first anniversary of my Raleigh’s death and I just wanted to share how amazing urgentvet was in her final days. She had many health issues in the last couple years of life…in January 2023 she started experiencing a mysterious eye ulcer. I brought her to her primary vet multiple times and an ophthalmologist who did absolutely nothing. In June 2023, her ulcer perforated. I was in tears and made an appointment with Nc state vet after being declined a month before because it wasn’t considered enough of an emergency. Nc state said they wouldn’t be able to see her until the next day. I brought her to Urgentvet because none of the other urgent centers said they would see her (now she was too critical and they couldn’t do anything per their responses…she would just have to wait for Nc state). Urgentvet saw us even though they were near closing and spent a ton of time advocating for her and trying to get Nc state to take her that night. They were amazing and gave us so much peace of mind at a time when we felt completely overwhelmed and alone. Their bedside manner was what everyone hopes for in times of crisis. They were kind, empathetic, skilled, and proficient…a winning combo. They treated her with more dignity than any of the other vets we took her to during her end of life. Not only did they spend so much time advocating for her and stayed way past their closing time as they continued communicating with Nc state, but after Nc state still refused to see her until the next day, they very kindly didn’t charge us for any of their time and effort. Sometimes the medical field forgets that half the job is patient support during the worst time of that individuals life…it’s even more important than any med or test you could possibly push. Urgentvet’s humanity meant so much to us after such frustrating experiences for the past few months. Raleigh had her eye removed that week. Two weeks later she was in distress and I rushed her to the emergency vet where they found she had metastases to her lungs. She died surrounded by her loved ones a week later. Thank you so much again for all your care and love during such a difficult time, urgentvet. You were literally the one bright star in the darkest months of our lives. You truly are what every vet clinic should be and what so many are starting to lack. If I could give you ten stars I would. Thank you again for everything from the bottom of our hearts.
