About Kim's Taekwondo Center
Kim's Taekwondo Center is a well-managed martial arts school in the Research Triangle, established in 2018. The center offers classes for all ages and skill levels, teaching more than just self-defense, but also discipline, confidence, and respect. Master instructors, including Master Kim, Master Preston, and Mrs. Martha, create a warm and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of community among students. The instructors are friendly and positive, managing kids well and keeping them motivated. They do not just play games but teach real TKD combined with physical exercise, helping students develop physically and mentally. We’ve had an amazing experience at Kim’s Taekwondo Center! We explored 4–5 different centers, and she never liked the other places. Master Kim, Master Preston, and Master J are an incredible team—so patient, encouraging, and supportive. Our daughter absolutely LOVES going to class and even asks to go every day! She has been a student for the past 2 years, and we look forward to continuing. The instructors do a fantastic job teaching discipline, respect, and confidence in a fun and positive environment. It’s a wonderful family establishment that truly goes above and beyond for their students. Highly recommend!
We love this place! The instructors are so attentive, super enthusiastic, engaging, and just really patient with the kiddos :) the drive is a bit of a stretch for us as Durham residents but it’s worth it.
My son is extremely shy and has an especially tough time dealing with strangers. We had taken him elsewhere for TKD and he burst into tears within minutes of our arrival. Master Kim and his staff have been the PERFECT mentors for him and they've been extremely patient, supportive, and encouraging to my boy. He now LOVES Taekwondo and asks if he can go every day. The staff knows what they're doing and they do such a masterful job going through each lesson and instilling discipline, respect, and self-control into these children.
