“Now that the wedding has passed and things have settled down a little, I must come on here and leave a review for someone who is so professional, and who made my little girls vision of her wedding dress come to fruition. I have to give a little background first. My daughter lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Since her and her fiancé were from here in Graham, they wanted to have their wedding here. She bought her dress in Tennessee. Since she was getting married in the winter, she wanted to add lace leaves and a swoop sleeve to her dress. The place she bought the dress from recommended a couture designer who does alterations. When the seamstress finished, she presented her with these lace sleeves that were baggy on her arm and swoop sleeves, that when attached to the dress, would not allow her to raise her arms at all. The designer explained that they had to be done this way. Plus, there wasn’t enough material or time to redo the sleeves. My daughter, being naïve about sewing, just accepted it and was considering to not wear them on her wedding day. My daughter brought her dress here for the wedding and when she showed me the sleeves, I could tell on her face the disappointment. I decided to see if I could find a seamstress who could fix it. I found Roz Shons Alterations and Redesigns. She had very good reviews so I decided to take the sleeves to her to see if she could make new ones. It was nine days until the wedding, so to say I was nervous is an understatement. I thought she would have to take the sleeves apart to use as a pattern and if she didn’t do a good job, I might not have the old ones to use either. She looked at the sleeves and instantly asked who made these? I explained that these were made by a couture designer in Tennessee. She looked surprised and said that they were definitely not done properly in the first place. The stitching and design were very sloppy. I told her how nervous we were since it was so close to the wedding. She told me “I’ve got your back, don’t worry I’ve got this, I’ll take care of you,”. All I could do was trust her word. I went and got the material and she started immediately. This wonderful person looked at a photo of the sleeves my daughter envisioned and made a complete new design. She also redid the lace sleeves to fit snuggly on her arms. She worked diligently on these for six days and her finished product was amazing! They looked like they came with the dress. My daughter was so happy! Roz Shon saw her vision and she kept tweaking until it was exactly what she wanted. For someone to design, and make something that beautiful when crunched for time, was so impressive to me. Thank you Roz Shon for seeing her vision and for making it all come together just in time for the wedding. Her dress was beautiful and you made that happen. We are forever grateful! By the way, you need to add in your business description “a Couture Designer” for your skill, definitely exceeds that of the couture designer in Nashville.“
