“My workouts 2x/week leave me feeling like I worked every part of my body, and is important part of my fitness routine to cross train combined with my running routine the rest of the week. The small class size guided by a coach to use good form is unique and almost feels like personal training in the smaller class setting. Working together as a class is much more motivating than doing it alone at home! I get the most out of a workout with Steven's programming, which is why I left Crossfit for MPT 3 years ago. While using both gyms, I noticed I was way more sore after workouts at MPT.“

“Training Partners has been my trainer for a continuous 12 or 13 years now. This gym was recommended to me by a skillful physical therapist, who trains at this gym herself. I have received educated, discrete, and enjoyable training from all of Training Partner's current trainers. I'm grateful a serious and mature service for fitness has been offered for so many years in Asheville.“

“Abby has been fun to work with and knowledgeable about fitness. It's important to connect with people teaching me. That was immediate here. Super Slow methodology was recommended by people I trust, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a Super Slow workout facility here in Asheville. Been training for four months now and the results have been good. If you're serious about fitness and/or physical recovery and want to be consistent, I recommend Abby.“

“I have never done Pilates before coming to this studio and I started with the private in person sessions. Both Amy and April are amazing teachers. I love the welcoming atmosphere and the studio is nice. They have all the equipment you could need. I like that they are taking Covid seriously and offer virtual sessions and require masks for in person sessions. The online booking is convenient for me. There is street parking available or you can park at two designated free spots next to Vortex. I highly recommend them!“

“Taija is great, very skillful, well trained and delightful! I am an older woman (81) with RA and an iffy knee. I’ve worked with Taija for about three + months and the overall improvement in my strength, balance and energy is amazing. When I walk, I walk upright, no more leaning. My legs are stronger, I can walk a couple of miles, no problem, and hike even further. My knee keeps getting better. I have become more balanced and have better balance. My arms/shoulders/core are much stronger, yoga postures are easier. My body shape is actually starting to change, and I feel fit. Taija creates exercise series tailored to my level, assures I am doing them correctly, and increases intensity as appropriate. She never pushes, but encourages, is sensitive, checks to make sure there is no pain—effort yes, pain no. And her private studio is lovely! Plus it’s fun!“

“Happy Body makes my body just that...happy! I have taken private Pilates sessions, group classes, and yoga. As well as receiving Ortho-bionomy sessions. You really can't go wrong. All the staff is top-notch! They are compassionate, highly skilled, and knowledgeable. The studio is inclusive and welcoming. I can't recommend Happy Body enough!“

“Underground Fitness is easily the best workout in Asheville. I wish I could give it 10 stars. The facility is spacious, clean, and had every piece of equipment you could possible need. The entire staff is so friendly and the classes are so well thought out. Above all - it's so easy to see how strong their community is and how supportive each member is of each other. If you're looking for a place to increase your health while also building community and friendship - I'm not sure there's a better place within a few hours in any direction.“
