84 W Walnut St, Asheville“Queer Friendly - Trans Inclusive - this is the spot for you!!I just moved to Asheville a few weeks ago and l did a lot of research on different barbers in the area. I kept seeing Blackbird barber popping up. So decided to go for it for my first Asheville haircut! The space was very cool and welcoming! Being trans and nonbinary it can feel intimidating going into new spaces especially getting my haircut. I never once felt rushed. Ash was very approachable and took her time with me. I showed her some pictures that I was going for and not only did she understand the assignment she absolutely CRUSHED it!! I have definitely found my barber here in Asheville!“

She really listened to how I wanted my hair cut and gave me great tips for different hair styles and suggested different products that could help my hair loss situation. By far the best experience getting my hair cut in a long time. Thank you again Ann“

“As others have said, nice little shop, well decorated with a very "homey" vibe. The ladies that work here are very nice and the coffee bar is an excellent touch. What I did not know was this is a cash only shop. There is an ATM onsite, but it does charge a fee. I enjoyed my beard trim and will probably go back as it is close to my house.“

4 Olde Eastwood Village Blvd unit 101, Asheville“Second time getting my beard trimmed, and both times I've been impressed. I appreciate how Isaac asked some quick questions and then got straight to work. The whole cut took about 20 minutes, including cleaning up my neckline (with hot lather!) at no extra charge. He didn't talk much, which is my personal preference. Also had some WWII decor which is a bonus in my books.“

755 Haywood Rd, Asheville“I came in for a MAJOR haircut. Amber did an amazing job, and was super clear about communication of how the outcome will be. I went from having about 2+ feet of long hair, to a wolfcut shag just above my shoulders. She did an excellent job removing my damaged long hair leaving only my natural. Would recommend.“

He took his time, made sure my son was okay and even I was okay. He ended up giving my son a “First Haircut Trophy” and myself a little baggie of his hair. We will definitely be coming back!! I loved everything about this shop. Friendly staff, amazing with children, and it was so clean!! Yall rock! Thank you again!! I’m definitely going to be recommending y’all to all of my friends with kids!“

“My kids and I had the same barber for the past 4 years. He recently moved, so we had to find a new place. I found Savage Hair Studio on Google, not realizing that the barber/owner was a friend of mine from years ago. Got our first haircuts there the other day. Jeremy is the man. Great haircuts, he gave my kids awesome fade. If you’re looking for a new barber, this is the place to go. Highly recommended..“
