I received community acupuncture + over a dozen cacao blended drinks from Alchemy - all around stellar! The tearoom and healing arts combo is super cool because there is a sense of mindfulness and healthy approach coming from both sides, impacting your experience whether you come In for a Liquid Cacao Bliss beverage or to address a health concern with acupuncture. I love the Kitchiri also so much and the tearoom staff is always friendly and welcoming! I receive community acupuncture treatments from Melissa on Mondays. Initially went in for a stubborn sinus infection and she provided me with herbs to take at home via cooking on my stovetop and they totally worked and knocked it out within a few days. I continued coming in to work on other issues Melissa was able to identify through assessments like taking my pulse and looking at my tongue, etc. when receiving the treatments, Melissa was incredibly smart in her technique to have me breathe in before each needle - I had not experienced that when getting acupuncture from other practitioners- they just put the needle in more nonchalantly but I liked how she asked me to breathe always. It seemed pretty standard or could have been customized to fit me as a patient but either way that always made me feel prepared for each one- they don’t hurt a lot but you do feel a little something and I’m more sensitive so it was very helpful. Acupuncture helped me most with building blood and with my cold/sore throat. I responded best to herbs and was so thankful to have them assist me with this. Melissa is extremely kind and caring and down to earth. I like how she shares her findings with you. The pricing is so good for community acupuncture and allowed me to have long term care and treatments which I so appreciate. I would recommend this place above anywhere else I’ve been for acupuncture. Not only can you get an amazing treatment but their cafe foods and drinks are healing and yummy!
