“Dr Purdy is, quite simply, amazing.<br><br>I spent an hour talking with her about my back condition and the neurological aspects of it. I learned more from her in 60 minutes of conversation than I did in the last 25 years dealing with it.<br><br>She did some pretty amazing work too. I have a metal, plastic, and bone-graft fusion from my S-1 to L-4 vertebrae. I have trauma injuries to skull, neck, and back with non-stop debilitating pain all through those areas. After our conversation, she spent another hour working me over, starting at my hip/pelvis and working up to my neck and skull.<br><br>The end result is this...<br>-I can bend my neck forward and look at my feet for the first time in nearly 20 years. There's more work to do, but I have a range of motion not seen in decades. As an added note... some of my neck injuries are violence related. As Dr Purdy began to work on my neck, I had a serious flashback and panic attack. She called my wife into the office immediately, and allowed us time to work through it. As she began working my neck again, we worked together to deal with and control the anxiety.<br>-My back has been a huge problem since I injured it 25 years ago. I do not trust chiropractors after being hurt by one shortly after the injury... Dr Purdy explained everything she was doing, everything I would likely feel, and what would happen during a particular adjustment. The end result was this... I could lay flat on my back, legs straight and crossed at the ankles, and arms held above my head. I laid like that for almost 20 minutes. I haven't been abe to lay flat like that for YEARS.<br><br>Dr Purdy spent considerable time with my wife as well. My wife was injured in a vehicle/bicyclist accident in 1999, with serious injuries throughout her body. During the initial treatment and recovery, many less serious injuries missed or ignored in favor of the critical and life-threatening ones. Her hips, pelvis, and knees were not checked or adjusted to correct the injuries from the impact with vehicle and road, and have been causing significant pain ever since. She went to the same shyster chiropractor I did (before we knew better) and has distrusted them ever since. My wife left Dr Purdy's office able to stand straight and breathe deeply for the first time in at least 15 years.<br>-Dr Purdy was kind enough to explain a part of my wife's knee injury, the reasons behind some swelling, and suggested some possible solutions, all of which we had never even heard of, much less the solution to it.<br><br>I cannot recommend Dr Purdy highly enough... she is without a doubt the most knowledgeable chiropractor I have ever been too. She offers not only an excellent level of care, but she also genuinely CARES about what she's doing.<br><br>Included here is a photo of my 11 year old daughter and I suited up in cold-water immersion gear on a cold winter day kayaking on the Columbia River, at the Warrior Rock Lighthouse. Dr Purdy's care will allow me to get back out there again to make wonderful memories with my child.“
