For background, this is the first negative review I have ever given to a business. I try to stay positive and look at the bright side of things and avoid negativity. However, this situation is different. I gave Wipfli the chance to correct their mistake and they wouldn't. Their mistake triggered a huge penalty with the IRS. When I confronted them they admitted their mistake but wouldn't make it right. They only re imbursed me for half of the penalties that I incurred. I've been in business for over 30 years and this is the most unprofessional group I have ever dealt with. My employer uses wipfli, and it's the most unreliable payroll I've ever had. We are to be paid on the 5th and the 20th via direct deposit. That's happened maybe 3 times out of the 11 pays I've received. As if that's not bad enough, just accessing paystubs is a wonky, difficult to read mess. (A local Veterans home recently learned wipfli had failed to file their tax information correctly, after wondering why their returns from the last TWO YEARS were "still processing." ) If a company's whole purpose is processing and protecting the earnings of hard working Americans, then they should be the absolute best at what they do. In my experience, wipfli falls far short.

My employer now uses this company for our payroll. Plain and simple... I do NOT like them. Their site for logging into is always having problems. Their app for your phone... always problems and not the easiest to navigate for finding specific things you are looking for. Even simple things like trying to reset passwords is more complicated than it needs to be.
