We learned so much from Neil at our recent urban tracking seminar! He came out to work with our SAR team. As new handlers, Neil did a great job encouraging us and helping us learn and grow with our dog. He also made sure our dog was adequately challenged while still helping us as handlers be successful. He also did a great job balancing harder problems our more experienced dogs and handlers, and breaking down the basics for the new puppies. I would recommend Neil’s training seminars to anyone looking to grow their SAR skills!
We have used All Day Dog Adventures for basic obedience and advanced scent training for our belgian malinois. Let me tell you, the strong foundation of recall that we worked on with Neil was a life saver! When my dog and I came within 10 feet of a bear with a fresh carcus in our yard and she was barking at it to alert me, those "here" and "leave it" commands that we work on were a saving grace! We all walked away to play ball another day! She was perfect when it counted thanks to great training and hard work. Thanks Neil!
I had the opportunity to volunteer as a subject during a tracking and trailing training event in Arizona. I am a new handler training my dog for tracking and trailing. Even though I did not have my dog with me in the training I was able to implement some valuable techniques I learned from Neil at this training. His training drills, critiques, and suggestions were on par. I learned so much. participating in his training has already made me a better handler.
