I've been seeing Shelly for esthetician services for years now - waxing and facials. She is fun to visit with, knows when you just want to relax quietly, and offers so many different treatments. The salon has a refreshing environment, a Hammam/sauna, and my favorite chiropractor works there too!
I stopped in to Gloss today for a new shade of foundation and had the BEST experience. I've long trusted Gloss for their clean products and have seen many of their practitioners over the years, but this was the first time I needed in depth help choosing a makeup shade. Sophia was incredible! Instead of pointing me towards a shelf of products or offering me a color card and leaving me alone to be bewildered (which is what happens most often in other stores), she sat me in a chair in front of Gloss's expansive windows and asked a few questions to get us started. She then chose three foundation shades, and after cleansing my face applied them near my jawline. Two were clear misses, one was pretty close. On to the next three, one of which seemed a winner. Next she applied a makeup primer and, after explaining which brush was best for my chosen product, applied the potential winner to half of my face. I was able to see how closely the shade matched this way! It was picture perfect, so she finished the application and then we discovered...they were out of stock! She offered to pre-order the product for me, and in the meantime found a sample to get me through. I can't remember the last time someone spent so much time with me, making sure my purchase was perfect. If you're still buying makeup and skincare online or at a box or drug store, stop. Stop guessing, stop shopping in confusion, and stop taking your money out of town. Stop in to Gloss instead! Tell Sophia Deb sent you. <3
