I did my own taxes for years, when my brother had a stroke he had me take him and his taxes to one of the Big name outfits. We sat for an hour and then the tax gal said she had to go to an adviser, came back and said we had to come back another time for a more experienced preparer, took three trips and his taxes weren't as complex as mine. The next year I decided to have the taxes done and picked laser 1040 because they had been around a long time in Billings. They were highly professional, pulled in a piece of data I forgot to bring off the computer calculated out cost on their spread sheet and ran checks on what is a complex tax return of stocks, bonds, rentals, and other income, they fully understand both federal and state taxes and deductions that are allowed. I've gone there three years now, same staff they do a great job and know what they are doing and when I need stuff in the middle of the years they are there to help.

I have used laser 1040 since I've come here to Montana comma there are two locations both on Grand one near town near 2nd and the other one catty-corner from Albertsons out on the west side. I have to say the temporary seasonal office on the West End isn't as crowded and the staff at both locations are great but my preference is the one on the west side they get you in at hand and no time they have your taxes done for you.
