“We recently sought Dr. Thornton’s expertise for our newborn son who was struggling with breastfeeding. A shallow and painful latch and poor weight gain left us exhausted with a constant cycle of nursing, pumping, and bottle feeding expressed milk.
As a fellow dentist who performs these procedures, I knew I wouldn't be comfortable performing it on my own son as my top priority was being able to nurse him immediately afterwards.
