“Very pleased with the way I was treated and the way my baby girl was treated. Will recommend“
“You will not find a more friendly boarding kennel in the area. We are extremely picky about who we let keep our dog due to his breed (Doberman Pinscher). Every dog has its own air conditioned, indoor kennel with a bed as well as an outside run for bathroom breaks. They will let your dog out multiple times a day to play in their fenced in yard. We were offered a tour of the facility and nothing was hidden from us. One of the things that makes this place special is the fact that we received daily updates with pics of our boy. Also, knowing that they do obedience training as well as AKC CGC certification, we know that they will not let our young pup get away with unruly behaviors and also make sure he is well behaved in certain situations (waiting to go through doors, not allowing jumping, sitting for meals). This is by no means the most fancy place I have ever been but they care about their guests, know what they are doing and have been doing it for years. They are priced very fairly and drop off and pickup times are convenient. Highly recommend these nice folks!“
“I have used Dr. Huffman for a long time and find him to always be kind and helpful! Katie and Linda are always willing to help me. They take such good care of my animals. I am so sad to know that Dr. Huffman is leaving and not sure what I will do for vet care!“
“The people here really do care for animals. When my dog developed a serious problem with her spine, they worked to see us on short notice and get her the help she needed. A+“
“Professional, caring & friendly. These guys really love your cats & and dogs, and it shows“
“Reviewing a veterinarian can be like reviewing a hospital, or a doctors office, or a mortuary. Usually, one encounters these places of business when one is in "crisis mode," is stressed, or is generally having a bad day. That being said, it's been a couple of months since I had dealings with them, and wanted to leave them a review. The doctors and the staff here are extremely compassionate, caring, accommodating, and professional. My cat, Magnus, was in a health decline and they provided excellent care and advice. The doctor and staff that perform surgery on him did a really good job and the after care was superlatives. They were very patient with me and took great care of Magnus on his end of life journey. They take proper Covid precautions and have been offering curbside service throughout. However, when it came time for Magnus's final trip, they did allow me in, with proper Covid precautions, to be with him one final time.I have been doing reviews for a long time. I seldom give a five star review. I have a process and procedure that I stick to 99% of the time. So, my process is not arbitrary. Most businesses, the best they can hope for, is a four star review. These fine people have earned their five stars!“
“Dr Christine Gibson, although retired, is the very best Vet I've ever known. She literally saved my fur babie 'Willie' when there was little hope for his recovery. It's very assuring that the Drs at the Pet Hospital on Gandy have two nieces of Dr Gibson. I'm sure that they were mentored by Dr Gibson who is THE BEST. One of my Italian Greyhounds will be having surgery next week and I am 100% confident that the surgery will have a good outcome.“
“Dr. Frazier saved my 16 chicks when he diagnosed their coccidiosis infection. The medicine he prescribed subdued symptoms immediately and he also taught me a lot about chicken stewardship! Thank you!!!“

“Rachel is amazing and she loves animals! Not only does she love them, but she loves yours as well. She made me feel so comfortable and took such good care of my Sadie. She sends pictures of your fur babies and checks in. She even put my Sadie on speaker phone so I could talk to her. I can't say enough awesome things about her. I would highly recommend her taking care of your doggies!“
“I had to drive 2+ hours from Jackson, MS to Hattiesburg to Animal Medical Center on April 29, 2024 for emergency surgery. My Golden Retriever, Max, was bleeding into a splenic mass and was anemic. He was 11-12 years old. I am a physician, an anesthesiologist for over 40 years, so I understood the gravity of the situation. Even before I arrived, Dr. Mayfield, II, called me on the phone to check on us. When we arrived, the employees immediately carried him out of my car for emergency surgery for treatment and diagnosis. Dr. Mayfield thoroughly discussed what we would do if the diagnosis was dire. They started blood and took him back to surgery within 30 minutes. The diagnosis was dire: he had a splenic mass full of tumor, with metastasis to his pancreas, liver, bowel, and kidney. Dr. Mayfield called me and took me back to surgery to see Max under anesthesia, and I said my goodbyes and let him go.... Dr. Mayfield then spent additional mourning moments with me and was very kind. I then made cremation arrangements and delivery of the remains to me. I also asked for histology on the tumors, as I had lost another Golden, Luka, age 13 or14, to hemangiosarcoma last year. Dr. Mayfield called me about 2 weeks later to say the pathologist reported high-grade lymphoma. The entire treatment, including the cremation, was very expensive--about $4000. As a physician, I understand the high costs of surgery, blood transfusion, anesthesia and other veterinary technicians. Everyone at the Center was extremely kind to me throughout my ordeal at their clinic. I was so thankful that there was a full-service surgery/ICU clinic available to me on that day. From the moment I arrived there, I felt that Max would be well-cared for by Dr. Mayfield and his staff, and he was.“

“We’ve brought out fur babies here for years. They absolutely love this place and we do to. They offer products. The prices are beyond competitive and the staff is fabulous . Im on here seeing if i can book with them online right now.“
“We have been boarding our three large dogs here for about a year, at least once a month I would say. Sure, the facility isn’t the cleanest and it’s a little cluttered, but our dogs are excited to go when we drop them off and are excited when we pick them up. They have never once acted skittish when we pick them up. They have been wet when picked up once but it was literally pouring outside and they had just gone potty. They help us unload and load every time. The prices are the best in town and they have stayed open late for us to pick them up an hour after they closed. Give them a chance.“
“They are clean...well kept...and I liked the setup for my older dog who had never been boarded.“
