Shout out to one of the on-duty vets, Dr. Heard(?), at Willow Bend Animal Clinic, Holly Springs who workedclosely with a Walgreens pharmacist to get emergency meds for my senior Chihuahua during the winter storm today. Walgreens was out of Zylitol-free liquid Gabapentin, and despite the pharmacist calling other branches, none were to be found. A phone consultation between she and the pharmacist came up with an alternative. This is beyond customer service at it's best! (Recognizing workload often prevents this, even if the professional wants to).
It’s Thanksgiving morning. In thinking about what I’m thankful for a recent incident came to mind. A few weeks ago our Shih Tzu, Charlie was accidentally given an Oxycodone meant for an adult human. When the mistake was realized we immediately looked for an emergency vet. We found Willow Bend and took Charlie there even though it was a Saturday night. Dr. Thompson was already in the clinic and treated our pet. Charlie suffered no ill effects even though we feared for his life. I only wish they were closer to us so we can make them our regular vets. You know, we might do it anyway.
Great Dr's and staff, the entire staff is always kind and friendly. Hands down the best Veterinarians. Their passion and dedication are astounding. A true blessing for animal care in North MS.
