“I came in to see if they had any screws to secure some enterprise SSDs for a server. The gentleman at the front counter and I fished through a cup of screws to see if we could find any. We were able to find 22 specialty screws, so I now have enough for the job and additional drives if I can find some more before the deployment.
He had to come up with a price because it was a handful of loose screws, and the price was much lower than the time and trouble he saved me by making the extra effort to help me. I told him to increase the price by 250%, paid it, and we are both happy. Now I don't have to go to Home Depot, Best Buy, or Walmart praying that they happen to have something that will work; in 5-10 minutes, I walked off with more than enough to get the job done at a great price.
In the past, I've visited this store a few times when I needed something quickly and didn't want to wait on shipping and the hassle that usually involves (I've had a lot of parts stolen or lost in transit), so I'm glad to have a store close by that specializes in computers and is willing to go the extra mile. It's a rare thing in this area.
For those negative reviews (I read them all), all I can say is this: as someone who works in IT, I would charge a fee just to look at your laptop and find out what's going on. This is for two reasons: it takes a lot of time and effort to find the problem, and you might be surprised how often you tell someone what the issue is and they decide to bring it somewhere else.
Even if you bring it in with the most likely problem already identified, that's not always the true issue at the bottom of it. So we have to check and verify.
It would be the same as going to one doctor, expecting a free diagnosis, and then going to a cheaper clinic to get your treatments done. That happens all the time, so the fee isn't to get rich, it's to stay alive.
I hope PCs+ is in business for as long as they desire to be. I'll be back soon, I have no doubt.“
“The gentlemen were very nice and professional. I was kept inform about my computers and given specifics as to what was wrong with each. I appreciate their honesty.“
“Baird Engineering, Inc. is a small civil engineering and surveying firm and we do not have IT staff. Due to our size, we were skeptical that we would find a company that would give us attention in a timely manner. Bryce Lemmons came to talk with us and assured us that he would be there for us when needed. In November 2016, we began using his company, Computer Management Service of Mississippi. He has kept his word by providing prompt responses to our needs with a great and encouraging attitude! We have been through the construction of and move to a new office building, computer and server changes, software changes and several unforeseen things that could not have been predicted. Bryce has walked with us every step of the way from helping us wire the new building and getting everything moved and set-up to those crazy things that happen that have to be dealt with immediately so our employees can be paid. We rely heavily on Bryce to talk us through small problems to on-site help with larger issues. He takes this very seriously and has provided us with years of dedicated service so that we can continue to keep our office running. Our experience has been wonderful and we look forward to many years of working together.“
