Dr. Salama was knowledgeable, effective, and compassionate, all the things that make for a caring physician. His assistant was helpful, courteous, and friendly. I went in with a minor laceration and was in and out within an hour.

However, he has seems to have issues hiring professional staff or keep a phone system working.Over the years poor staff continue to bring the practice down. The phone goes unanswered, calls are not returned in a timely manner or not at all, tests the DOCTOR ORDERED or not uploaded or the doctor informed of the results for follow-up, chewing gum in your ear on the phone & getting upset when you ask them not to (not only is it rude, it's unprofessional) blowing off patient questions & concerns to bring to the doctor like it's no big deal, the list goes on. I went in for a sinus infection and was in and out within an hour. I know there are reviews that mention long waits when no one appears to be there but honestly I don’t think these people have ever been to an urgent care before! Typically, UCs have very long waits and SLMP was much faster for me. Their online check in questionnaire is long but it asked all the pertinent medical questions needed for care. I think now that I’m on file the next visit will be easier. Dr. Salama was very kind, listened to me, and gave meds with no issues. Personally this is faster and easier than a TACU or Mercy UC Center with equivalent care!
