2325 Lackland Rd, Overland“Best judo club in the whole Saint Louis area. Classes focus on skill learning rather than jumping jacks and push-ups. By that I mean they spend the whole class time teaching you judo / martial arts and waste no time doing something else, such as random stretching or exercises. They are very professional in that they start on time and end on time. Water breaks are scheduled. The classes are planned out and follow a structure. They have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Even if a beginner comes to an advanced class, they will get tailored instruction for their level. There is a training system in place so that everyone improves in a systematic way at their own pace. There is a mix of hobbyists and serious competitors. Everyone is welcome and safety in training is emphasized. They have a website that is kept up-to-date about the schedule, which is very rare for most martial arts clubs. The club is a not-for-profit and it shows in the inexpensive tuition rates offered.“

17361 Edison Ave, Chesterfield“Outstanding experience at chesterfield ATA! From the moment we walked in, the instructors greeted us warmly and made us feel like part of the family. Their dedication to teaching goes beyond technique; they instill discipline, confidence, and respect in every student. My daughter has grown not only in her skills but also in her character. She also looks forward to attending as many classes as she can. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a great workout. We couldn't be happier with our decision to join this studio. Highly recommend to anyone looking to increase their child’s self esteem and self discipline.“

16625 Swingley Ridge Rd, Chesterfield“Growing up with Twin Dragons Taekwondo has been better for me than anything else Ive been involved in. I started when I was five, and I am currently 17. I am going to test for my 3rd Degree black belt this Summer and there’s no doubt that I haven’t earned it. I am a two time national medalist and have been competing and earning trophies and gold medals since I was a white belt. I’ve competed in over 150 tournaments throughout my martial arts career, competed in state tournaments, always medaling. I made lifelong friends here that I still keep in contact with to this day, they are the most honest, genuine, family-like friends I’ve ever met. Im a 90 pound female and I genuinely feel I can handle myself better than any average person, I often spar/defend against males who outweigh me by 50-80 pounds and handle myself just fine.“

After stepping into the world of Kenpo however I quickly discovered that in a real attack I was not likely to be wearing boxing gloves. I’ve never looked back and returned to kick boxing ever since. I’m a Kenpo student for life under the amazing instruction of Grand Master Bill Boyd.“

Use Entrance By Cheesecake Factory - XKM is 8th Unit Down on Right, 154 A Chesterfield Center, Chesterfield“I have been a member of XKM for just over two months. I joined because of knowing very little about self defense. The instructors and support are excellent. Longer term students have also been great with assistance. My goal was to learn something about defense and that’s been very productive.“

12388 Natural Bridge Rd, Bridgeton“My son has been going to ATA for over a year now and when he first started he was the a little shy guy. After being in ATA his self-confidence has grown, and he doesn’t feel so intimidated by other kids whom are taller and older than him. He has been taking their leadership classes and now he is an excellent example of being a leader to his friends in school and on the mat! The creative and extreme classes are excellent, and mostly a lot of one on one training. Master Cather and her staff let the students create their own routines and help them master that routine, so they can take pride and ownership of something they have created. My son really takes pride in his martial art skills and encourages everyone to be nicer, a leader and not a follower, and to be more self-confident. I can’t thank Master Cather and all her staff for helping him out of his shell. He is no longer my little shy guy!“
“Our son has been going here for 3 years. We love the environment and other families! Mr. Baker is an exceptional instructor and makes classes fun. He promotes integrity and perserverance. As kids grow comfortable there is sparring available to them and he is always encouraging the class to go to tournaments to build their confidence. If you are considering Taekwondo this is the place to go! Highly Recommend!“
