We recently had the most wonderful experience at the Oak Grove Animal Clinic with every single person we talked to. Our dog had to have emergency surgery and the only places open that could see her were chain animal hospitals that are extremely overpriced. My mom uses Oak Grove Animal Clinic for her pets and reached out to Dr. Neal and explained what was happening with my dog. He took time to call us after hours and look at her lab work and X-rays and got her in the very next morning for IVs and surgery while keeping it all under the price that we were initially quoted. From the front desk to each doctor in that place, we were greeted with care, kindness, and truly felt that our dog was in the best hands possible. We absolutely cannot thank the team and staff at Oak Grove Animal Clinic enough for saving our dog's life, but also making something so scary and serious seem so seamless. Highly recommend this vet to anyone that is looking! They also do boarding as well.
Oak Grove Animal Clinic doesn't have the time nor patience to adequately care for your pet. After two "brief" visits with Dr. Grower. My ten-year-old poodle, Knopa, was left with more than a two-month wait for a surgical appointment and no supportive care! She presented with an inflamed mass on her eyelid that caused distress to her. Dr. Grower did not take an interest in Knopa's past medical history of Meibomian Gland Adenoma. When asked if the cancer could metastasize into her lymph nodes, he assured me that dogs don't have lymph nodes in that area. While I appreciate his veterinarian knowledge; this is her second tumor locally in under a year, and dogs have superior and inferior lymphatic vessels running along the top and bottom of their eyes connecting to the LYMPHNODES. Under Dr. Grower's care, Knopa was subjected to delayed treatment as he misdiagnosed the mass as an infected puncture wound and prescribed a week of oral antibiotics instead of detailing a plan of treatment based on her presenting symptoms and past medical information. Knopa's previous vet would provide a corticosteroid in the interim to alleviate the inflammation and pain. It was a struggle to get any quotes for the upcoming surgery. Past vets have provided a detailed breakdown of where the money is going and what care is being received. The Oak Grove Animal Clinic gave me $450 written in pen on the receipt. My family has routinely brought their pets to the Oak Grove Animal Clinic for years. After two short interactions with Dr. Grower, we will be looking elsewhere for any care beyond that of a vaccination.
Wonderful people, took care of my lil Ruben and was very informative and helpful. Absolutely wonderful experience and worth every penny. Also they are very clean and spacious in the lobby highly impressed. Even though I live in blue springs I will travel out to them every time for my baby boy.
