Found a kitten in north Kansas City in the engine compartment of a pickup truck near a dog park while on a road trip from Denver to NY. Liberty was kind enough to take in this found friend even though I had brought them to the wrong shelter. This kitten is super sweet and the liberty facilities are very nice. They are filled up with adoptable cats, kittens and dogs. Please consider adopting from them.

This facility is not a major shelter with a marketing or advertising budget. They are working with very limited resources and the staff I encountered genuinely cared for the animals. I adopted the sweetest young cat and plan on going back to get an older cat this week.

I recently adopted a puppy from North Kansas City Animal Shelter and he is amazing! The perfect addition to my life. The staff does so much with what they have available to them. Having a whole litter of puppies living in a shelter for weeks is not easy at all but the babies were so well taken care of and the adoption process was easy and staff was very communicative.
