“Dakota Cabinet Company was an excellent choice for our newly remodeled primary room Bathroom. Rick's attention to detail and ability to listen and provide the solutions we wanted proved the choice was correct. We plan on remodeling our other bathroom and our kitchen sometime soon and Dakota will be our source for custom cabinets. Thanks and Great Job everyone at Dakota.“
“We highly recommend Kitchenland. The true test of a great company is how they deal with problems. We started our kitchen remodel several months ago working with Kimberly, our Kitchenland designer. Kimberly was great in her design ideas as she put together our new kitchen while keeping budget in mind. Kimberly was also very patient working with us, as well as Amanda and Dakota who helped us at times.
Now for the problem: We ordered Schrock brand cabinets. They were constructed of maple with a darker brown stain finish. Our installer, Danl, did an outstanding job on the install. Once the cabinets were nearly completely installed, we noticed a serious flaw in the stain finish. We fully understood that stained wood will accept the stain differently throughout the wood, but this finish was awful. The stain was very blotchy throughout the entire cabinetry, except the crown molding. After the crown molding was installed we noticed it was stained uniformly, however it was noticeably darker than the blotchy cabinets.
Another defect we noticed was a term called haloing. That is when there is not sufficient stain applied to the areas where the cabinet face meets up with the face frame. Every cabinet face had the haloing defect.
Kitchenland brought the Schrock factory representative to our house to view the issues, but nothing was corrected. Thankfully though, Schrock agreed to take the cabinets back and we went with a different manufacturer located in Missouri.
Kitchenland was outstanding in advocating for us with this problem and bent over backwards to make it right. Barry, the Kitchenland GM was fully engaged in working toward a resolution for us. Tim and his crew in the warehouse even installed a temporary kitchen sink for us to use during the several weeks wait for the new cabinets.
The new kitchen is now in and it is wonderful. We have nothing but praise for all the staff we dealt with at Kitchenland. They operate with integrity, honesty and do quality work. I wish other companies would operate as they have.“
