AKKA is a community treasure. My kindergartener loves the training. The whole program and accompanying resources gives me opportunities to talk with my child about things that matter. Character and morality. The instructors care about shaping the entire person. Courtesy. Discipline. Respect. Fitness. Resilience. Skills. Conviction. True martial artists.

My husband is 80 and I am 77. At our age we were looking for something to keep us active and in shape. Years ago we took some Karate lessons, and enjoy it. We were looking for a workout that would be fun and easy on our joints. I heard that AKKA Karate USA-Independence taught Tai Chi, so we signed up for a trial month of lessons. We just completed our trial month, and we are continuing with the lessons. The instructors , Mr. Burt, and Mr. Harris are very knowledgeable and patient with us. We have only been in class for a month, but we can already feel like we have better balance and less stiffness in our joints. We highly recommend AKKA Independence.

AKKA - Independence is part of Associated Kenpo Karate Academies, Kansas City's largest and oldest professional martial arts organization, and has been serving Independence and the surrounding areas for over 35 years.
