Horrible experience and horrible, aggressive vet. Dr. Flazar gave my 17 y/o cat an intramuscular injection next to her spine (THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE GIVEN UNDER THE SKIN NOT IN THE MUSCLE) and now she is limping, has lost a lot of motor control in her right hip and leg, and suffers pain. He was also very aggressive during the exam and forcibly grabbed her face, wrapping his hand around her entire face/mouth/nose so she couldn't move her head while he was listening to her lungs. He was completely rude, abrasive, and unprofessional. I will be reporting him to the vet board as all was documented on video as well.
I am so happy I take my pets to Chesterfield Veterinary Center. I switched vets a couple of years ago because the costs were getting out of control especially for dental cleanings and it was hard to get an appointment in a timely manner. Dr Lovett and Dr Flasar go above and beyond on treating my pets. They diagnosed an illness that my yorkie had which other vets had missed (Cushing's disease) and started meds to help her with this disease. They run the necessary test to keep your pets healthy. They are awesome!
On March 5th I took my sweet boy in for a haircut. Within 15 minutes of bringing him home he was gone. I don't know and never will know what happened but I do know I was absolutely hysterical. All I could think to do was get him back to the clinic. The staff wouldn't let me in the door. They offered to take him from me BUT they wanted me to go back to my car. I refused and pushed my way in the door. Please note there was NO ONE in the clinic as it was closing time and at no point was I ever within 6 feet of the staff while holding my dead baby. They kept insisting I put on a mask ... I didn't have one and they didn't have one to give me? I didn't even have any shoes on ... I was in a daze. When the doctor finally came into the room they ushered me into one of the exam rooms which they could have done from the very beginning. I've been going to this clinic for the past 10+ years. I completely trusted the staff with my babies BUT never again. The way in which I was treated is unforgivable. The staff was cruel, rude, uncaring and showed no emotions at all. To date NO ONE has bothered to apologize for their actions or to even say they were sorry for my loss. I understand COVID-19 restrictions when the risk is present but where were their hearts when I needed help. I would not wish the way Simon and I were treated by these ladies on my worse enemy. We both deserved better. - Diane Gibbs Sent from my iPhone
