By that I mean they spend the whole class time teaching you judo / martial arts and waste no time doing something else, such as random stretching or exercises. They are very professional in that they start on time and end on time. Water breaks are scheduled. The classes are planned out and follow a structure. They have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Even if a beginner comes to an advanced class, they will get tailored instruction for their level. There is a training system in place so that everyone improves in a systematic way at their own pace. There is a mix of hobbyists and serious competitors. Everyone is welcome and safety in training is emphasized. They have a website that is kept up-to-date about the schedule, which is very rare for most martial arts clubs. The club is a not-for-profit and it shows in the inexpensive tuition rates offered.“

After stepping into the world of Kenpo however I quickly discovered that in a real attack I was not likely to be wearing boxing gloves. I’ve never looked back and returned to kick boxing ever since. I’m a Kenpo student for life under the amazing instruction of Grand Master Bill Boyd.“

He promotes integrity and perserverance. As kids grow comfortable there is sparring available to them and he is always encouraging the class to go to tournaments to build their confidence. If you are considering Taekwondo this is the place to go! Highly Recommend!“

“My son has been going to ATA for over a year now and when he first started he was the a little shy guy. After being in ATA his self-confidence has grown, and he doesn’t feel so intimidated by other kids whom are taller and older than him. He has been taking their leadership classes and now he is an excellent example of being a leader to his friends in school and on the mat! The creative and extreme classes are excellent, and mostly a lot of one on one training. Master Cather and her staff let the students create their own routines and help them master that routine, so they can take pride and ownership of something they have created. My son really takes pride in his martial art skills and encourages everyone to be nicer, a leader and not a follower, and to be more self-confident. I can’t thank Master Cather and all her staff for helping him out of his shell. He is no longer my little shy guy!“
