Lakeview National Golf Course is a challenging 18-hole championship course located on the beautiful North Shore. Designed by Garret Gill and renovated in 1996-1997, this well-maintained course offers stunning views of Lake Superior from 14 of its fairways and tees. Players of all abilities will appreciate the large tees and greens, which provide a rewarding experience. The course is well laid out and easily walked, requiring strategic shots for success. Though some greens showed rough spots and fairways had a few dry areas, the overall experience is positive, especially for early season golfing. The staff is noted for being excellent, enhancing the enjoyment of this beautiful recreational site.
One of the best values for your money. Good layout and great course conditions. After having played here only once a few years ago we played three times this summer. It will be a regular stop next summer, even though it’s over an hour drive from our house. Word of warning though, the greens will test you!
The course is well maintained. The greens are huge and like putting on a carpet.
The only view of the Lake was on the eighth hole and they don’t have CIGARS! Otherwise it is a great course; you will enjoy playing it.
The course is well laid out, easily walked, there are challenges, course management is needed to play the play course well. Strategic shots will reward.
The staff was excellent!
