“I originally booked a service that did not match the hairstyle that I picked and patiently explained to me the difference between the two when I was struggling to understand. I can't recall the nice woman, one of the shop assistants, but she was also patient with me and periodically checked in with me about my comfort with the hair. She also made she I was leaving her chair perfect and that there were no frayed hairs on a single strand! I also appreciate that not only was I asked if I liked it before I left, but because of my hair texture she also made sure to ask that it wasnt too heavy as well! I've only worn box braids so the corn row style I had done is new for me and I'm incredibly happy with it and can't wait to show it off at the concert! I'll definitely be returning to try a new style after I've worn this one out!“

“My hair was dark and I wanted to go platinum. I was nervous and unsure. Joua amazingly assured me it would turn out beautiful and it sure did! I spent 6 hours chit chatting with her and she shared with me what she was doing every step of the way. My hair turned out amazing! I have gone to specialty salons that specialize in curly hair but none of them compare to Julie's expertise. The fact that Julie has biracial children of her own allows her to really understand curls on a deeper level. I have been receiving deva cuts from her for two years now and have gotten both styling and semi-dye services from her and everytime she always meets my expectations and more. I have also seen her cut my sister's hair who has a completely different curl pattern than I do and again, the haircut was fantastic. I honestly hope Julie doesn't retire anytime soon because it has taken me years to find someone who is very educated about curls the way that she is.
