St. Francis Regional Medical Center

I came to St Francis for a surgical consult with Dr Daniel Gatlin because I had an epigastric hernia that had become bothersome. I was confused by my GPS and struggled to find the right entrance to reach his office, then to find my car in the lot. Frustrating. When I returned a couple of weeks later, I had better directions for my son who drove me to my surgery. Nothing could have made this experience better! I was anxious and the nurses saw that and worked really hard to make me feel calm and safe. The anesthesiologist was likewise, calming and reassuring. I was brought in to St Francis on 02/14/24 for a complaint of shortness of breath. Excellent staff, excellent diagnostics leaving no stone unturned. A special shout out for excellence of service goes to Abby, the technician who performed the Ultrasound on my legs. She was knowledgeable, friendly and answered all my concerns patiently, even though she and the rest of the staff looked very busy. 5+ stars.

I had an emergency appendectomy done here and let me tell you, as an out of state person I would reccomend this hospital to anyone in a 50 mile radius. From the moment I walked in (or hobbled, from the appendix pain) the staff was very friendly and compassionate. We didn’t wait too long to be in a room, and the process of tests and labs was smooth and efficient.Additionally, we had traveled to Minnesota from Chicago to take a flight the next day at 10am. We explained this to the Emergency room staff, and they did everything in their power to expedite the surgery and do it so I could fly the next day.I cannot thank the staff enough for their patience and help through... read full review
