From Equilibrado Orihinal System of Eskrima
Martial Arts Instruction - a practical and modern approach to self defense and martial art teaining. 7 styles of FMA woven as an ecosystem, and presented as concepts. The EO philosophy is a 3 step approach of "knowledge, skill, application" designed to give the student a solid understanding of techniques, tactics, and strategies with altercations. Starting day-1 what is learned and drilled is functional for self defense. As the student improves the techniques build on the basics to become more advanced, Techniques, tactics, and strategies are drilled in the sparring ring. Students are encouraged to take control of their training goals while being guided by the Instructors to grow in the art.
I have been a student of Guro Chris McWethy for 3 years. He is a very good teacher who is very knowledgeable and a good communicator. The class is well organized and always interesting. I have learned real world basic and intermediate self defense techniques. There is also a lot of stick and some knife work. One night per week is sparring with padded sticks.
Experienced, authentic, and impressively skilled head instructor. Truly a gem. Senior students are also very solid. Classes are great, go as hard as your comfort level, and they keep safety a top priority. Highly recommend.
