I just wanted to say thank you to the staff who were on duty overnight one night back in May 2024. We had an emergency in the middle of the night and we rushed our dog to the emergency vet at 2am. Unfortunately, he would not make it to the morning. The staff there were so kind and gentle to our boy, Gunnar. They made sure he was not in pain until we could all be there to help him cross the rainbow bridge.
I appreciate the kindness expressed to us by the staff in one of our hardest moments of life. Thank you.
We received kind care starting on the telephone call all the way through the assessment and treatment plan. It was obvious that they were a little busy and seemed like they were being efficient with their time. The doctor listened to my concerns and let me weigh in on the plan in a way that made me leave feeling comfortable. Thanks Dr. Novak and the whole team. Price seemed reasonable. A little expensive like you’d expect for emergent care but I tried to view it like we’re keeping it open for future us.
This place has saved my dog's life twice in her 8 years - most recently in August when I recognized she was going into anaphylactic shock after having been stung multiple times by ground bees. I called AEVS en-route and they were ready to treat her on arrival. She was seriously ill with liver damage already occurring and had to stay overnight. Another time, several years ago, this dog ate a half pound of dark chocolate at Christmas time. Chocolate is poison to dogs and she'd eaten a lethal dose. Again, she was there overnight and came through. I am extremely pleased and grateful that we have AEVS in Rochester.
