I had a double mastectomy for breast cancer. I was told to go to physical therapy. The physical therapist told me tk get a spandex top and wear it all day. I did, and ended up with a breast infection. Wouldnt the surgeon tell me if I needed a spandex top? Poor care.
I will never visit the Spine Care section of Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Associates or recommend it to anybody. I found the management dishonest and primarily profit driven. The problem is the lack of transparency and overcharging. I visited Dr. Terri Peterson at this office for the back pain I was experiencing in February of 2022. When I made the appointment and when I visited the office, no one told me that this is not a regular office visit but a hospital visit. The experience was exactly like a regular office visit. I waited in the office lobby, visited the doctor, and received prescriptions. I did not receive any special service like the ones you receive in a hospital or an emergency room. The office looks like any normal doctor office. You don't see anything resembling a hospital. However, in addition to the normal fees for visiting a specialist, they charged my insurance company with large hospital and facility fees. I had to pay part of the fees. I called the office and requested an explanation for these additional charges. Also, I complained about their lack of transparency and not informing the patient about the additional fees when the patient makes the appointment. They did not provide any explanation. I refused to pay and filed a complaint. They reviewed my complaint but rejected it. I ended up paying the hospital and facility fees. Knowing that every time I see a doctor at this office, I must pay these extra fees, I changed my doctor and received a much better care with another provider.
