Visited this shop recently. I was surprised at the amount of stock carried. Well sorted, curated and graded. Prices were fair for cleaned ready to go stock. Crate diggers will enjoy the "just arrived sections". Nice selection of vintage gear here as well. Worth a visit!
Shawn (Smitty) is a down to earth and knowledgeable store owner. The store layout is very cool, and a creative way to display/test listen to the ever-growing number of records, CDs, and vintage equipment on hand.
I came in to see if they had newer turntables, none at the time I visited, and walked out with the OST for Eddie and the Cruisers!
Highly recommend Twin City Smitty's Vintage Audio to those iso a great person helping a revived community.
Recently my friends and I were in MN for the Frozen Four. We went on a record shop and vintage audio excursion and ended up at Twin City Smitty's. Cool place! We weren't sure what we were walking into with all the different rooms, but Smitty gave us a tour and explained the layout. He has a lot of gear, and I suppose if you had a request he would either have it or would know where you might be able to get it. The real treasure is the album and media selection. I ended up with 5 albums, four cassettes, and 12 CD's to add to my collection. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the Twin Cities. Thanks!
