I had my first wavy/curly cut and it did not disappoint! I’ve done a lot of research (for over a year) because I was nervous to make the transition (for both cost and someone new cutting my hair). Then I heard Uptown curl moved to Maple Grove and after doing research from their website on their salon, services and stylists I decided to book an appointment with Korryn. Her hair type looked similar to mine (fine and wavy 2B) and she has an Instagram page with before & after photos, which really helped me decide to book my appointment with her because her work on every client looked amazing and exactly how I wanted my hair to look! When I sat down I. The chair she first asked and listened on what I currently do with my hair and what I wanted out of my haircut and then she gave me tips, tricks and suggestions on how to style my waves and what products to use throughout the entire appointment! My hair looks so good and feels great after my cut! I always have flat spots on the top of my head but she got it to curl and same with my side bangs (which I usually keep straight because I didn’t know how to style them wavy) - I haven’t seen my curls look this pretty before! I plan on going back in a couple months for an express cut with her! So I’d highly recommend Korryn - especially if you have wavy hair! Overall, it was a positive experience and definitely worth paying the extra $$ for the consultation, wash, style service! (Attached are 2 before and 2 after pictures!)
