I bought eyeglasses at this location 2 1/2 years ago and spent close to $800 for one pair (which didn't include the exam). I admit I did pick out a very stylish Jimmy Choo frame (which gets oodles of compliments). This week one of the bows decided it wanted to be set free. After trying my own home remedies without success, I stopped by on a Friday afternoon to see if they could replace the screw or something. They first looked up my order and told me it was out of warranty. I then asked if they had an extra screw they could just give me (nope ... it was a special size). My options were to buy a whole new pair of glasses or buy a new replacement frame and reuse the lens. I ended up leaving and going to a nearby neighborhood optometrist who put a little Loctite on the screw for free.

$490 for a full eye exam??? I only wished we had done our research prior to getting our eye exam here, as this price is their "base price" when I called to ask if there was a mistake. NEVER AGAIN will we use Park Nicollet for an eye exam! This price is up to 4 times higher than other reputable places. This review is not against the eye Dr. we saw, just against the billing practices for this service. Do your homework, and call around first. We sure wished we had!

PLEASE DO NO USE PARK NICOLLET FOR AN EYE EXAM!!! I agree with the other reviewers that this is a complete ripoff. We contacted them about the price and they told us that they make an effort to be cost competitive but I fail to see who they are competitive with. I do think that they do a good job, but when you pay 4 times the price of their competitors (who also do a good job) then it makes no sense to go there. Shop around, find someone who comes recommended and keep more of your own money.
